Advice needed on build

Hi, this site is amazing just what I was looking for!;) My pc mid-tower is due for an upgrade but I need to keep the expense down. I use the pc mainly for Photoshop CC 2021and On1 for photo editing, processing, and some 3d. What I have now is insufficient for my work. I came up with the following with a few tweaks and I plan on reusing my case and power supply.

Mid-Tower ThermalTake View 22
Power Supply Play Hard XFX PRO 650W Edition Power Supply

Here is my build
CGDirector.com Parts List: https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=6LGTE

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6GHz 8-Core Processor ($304.99)
CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Prism Cooler (Included with CPU)
Motherboard: MSI B550-A Pro ATX AM4 ($139.99)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660TI 6GB - Gigabyte Windforce ($279.99)
Memory: 16GB (2 x 8GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 C16 ($64.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB NVME M.2 Solid State Drive ($64.99)

Power Supply: Corsair CX Series CX450M 450W ATX 2.4 Power Supply ($69.99)
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 275Q ATX Mid Tower Case ($103.48)
Total: $1028.42

So two questions I change the memory to 32GB, and secondly, does anyone see any incompatibility with my case and power supply with this build? The Storage is small because I offload the files to a 4TB drive, and I already have drives that I can use.

Thank you,
John

Let me update my post. It seems the wisdom on Cpu"s and Photoshop is a bit dated. What I can find suggests a Cpu with 6 cores as the sweet spot and a high operating frequency. Cpu change to AMD Ryzen 5 3600X(XT) or AMD Ryzen 5 5600? Also, the 512GB needs to be changed to 1TB. I presently have the AMD Athlon X4 770K Richland 32nm, 16GB Ram, ASUSTeK Computer Inc A88X-Pro FM2+ and ATI AMD Radeon R9 380 Service ASUSTeK. It's a dog slow process. 👍

Yes you should be looking at high clocking cpus as much as possible. Lots of cores does almost nothing for photoshop performance. I'd say the 5600X is your best option as it has some crazy high single core performance. 1TB of Storage seems like a good idea too. I keep running out of space, so better start with some more room.

Alex, thanks for the advice.👍 One further question, which motherboard would you choose for the AMD 5600XCpu?

You can stick with the MSI B550-A Pro, or can jump up to a x570 if you plan on using multiple gpus or nvme ssds. But for basic use the MSI B550-A Pro is fine.
