as the title says, I'm interested in the mobility of a laptop+eGPU, while still wanting a build that is powerful enough for intensive GPU rendering in C4D. I've read the article about best hardware for GPU rendering, but it didn't go into much detail about laptop+eGPU combo.
Any insights?

Hey edub,
This is certainly possible, but you'll have to know that eGPUs are usually both more expensive and slower than their internal counterparts. This mostly has to do with the egpu chassis/cooling and the connection to the Laptop which will not get as much bandwidth as an PC's internal pcie slot.

That said, there are some who work with the Razer Core X eGPU enclosure that I know have had good experiences so far. Be sure to look for a Laptop with a Thunderbold 3 connector though.
