Hi all,

This might be a very simple answer - and hopefully it is! But with it being so simple I'm actually finding it quite hard to find any relevant article which answers my question.

I am looking to connect my various computers (2 Mac's and a PC) via ethernet cable so I can use the full benefit of team render within C4D. For this, do I only need a Network switch linking all of them? Kind of like a closed network. Or do I also need to hardwire a ethernet cable from my internet router to the switch as well?

If it is the latter it means I need to drill a hole through a wall - so if its unnecessary its probably good to know beforehand! 😆

Cheers!
Tom

You just need a Local Area Network, so no need to hook your Internet router up to it! :)
