Hello, I'm building a new PC for the office but I'm a bit confused about the case. Here is the setup : i7 9700KF + Noctua DH-15, 32Go DDR4 PC2666, SSD500Go + 1To SATA, GPU's RTX 3070 + RTX 2080, PSU Corsair Rmx1000.

I've been looking but almost only finding cases with a meshless and covered front panel, which seems a bit weird to me as GPU's never have been so warm and powerful but maybe I'm missing something.

At home I have a similar setup with a Lian Li PC-7HX case, including a mesh part on front with 2x140mm fans, and one 120mm fan on the back, and never had any problems but it's unfortunately not buyable anymore.

I have eyes on a Fractal Design Define C or a Corsair Carbide 275Q which seem great, but both with "only" a covered front panel including a 120mm fan and another 120mm fan on the back. I plan to add another 120mm fan on the front but will that be enough to do some 3D work with lots of renders ?

Or should I better go with a Fractal Design Meshify S2 (mesh front panel including 2x140mm fans and one 120mm at the back), will that make a huge thermal difference ? Any recommandations ?

I'm not an expert on these matters, thanks in advance for your help !

You don't necessarily need a Mesh for a multi-gpu system. It's much more important that your GPUs are blower style so they low out the hot air they produce, out the back of the case. If they do, you don't need to invest a lot into case fans or case mesh. Of course if you have open air cooled gpus, and they just blow the air into the case and the case heats up, you should make sure the hot air is blown out of the case and replaced with cool air from the front. A mesh system would probably get cold air in more easily, but strong case fans for intake can get air into the case even without an ample mesh.

Hi Alex, thanks a lot for your detailed reply ! That heat management has been going uneasy. I went for a Carbide 275Q but with two 140mm fans, I guess it will be ok.
Thanks also for all your articles !
