Hi everyone, I find myself in a dilemma and was hoping you guys could help me out.
I work with 4D cinema and use octane and most of my work is animation and I was wondering which of these options you guys would choose.

CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X
GPU: RTX 38080

or

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: RTX 3090

I don't know much about computer parts so I was counting on your help, if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it!
Thanks

Because it's a GPU render engine you're using (octane) and Octane makes great use of a lot of VRAM, the 3090 seems the better choice. You don't need a lot of cpu cores to satisfy octanes performance demand while rendering.

8 Cores on the 5800X are more than enough for high active work performance and gpu render performance. Of course, if you have other workloads, like CPU rendering, then the 5950X might come in handy as its has twice the cores of the 5800X.
