Computer build feedback

Hello!

what a fantastic site!

I am pretty well versed in Microsoft office and likely continue using spreadsheets, word processing and creativity applications (Publisher, Paint) although these will be for personal projects rather than any thing work related.

The greatest use I anticipate for a new desk top would be photo editing, manipulating graphic content for desk top publishing and streaming video & music.

Below is the suggested components from your on-line builder. Can you please advise as to suitability and the discrepancy between the total $ listed and the MSRP of $1458?

Thank you! 🙂

That's a great build for your workloads! We purposely added the ability to display MSRP prices instead of actual retail prices, because there are crazy price-inflations going on currently.

MSRP is what the manufacturer (e.g. AMD) suggests the item should be sold at. But because of low stock and scalpers, these prices are often a multiple of what they would usually cost if there weren't any shortages.

So you can expect these prices to return to normal once the supply issues have been solved. The discrepancy is there to inform buyers that certain items are way above normal price right now and they might want to wait a bit.
