Hey, i just bought a new computer, and i played PUBG and Sea Of Thieves on it, and i noticed that the CPU was running at 70-90% while the GPU was running at 10% MAX. Is there any CPU's you guys would recommend me buying that is around $280 dollars that will prevent the bottlenecking?

My specs:
i7-6700 -3.40GHZ, 4 cores
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8GB
Motherboard = Z170A PC MATE (MS-7971)
32GB RAM

I appriciate any help!

Hello, hope all is well. What resolution are you running the game at? What are the specifications for your monitor (screen)?

That's probably why the video card is not being used as heavily. A good workaround would be to increase the settings in the game (max them out) such as particles, blooming, shading, etc... which should make bigger use of the card and perhaps even the load.

The next step without modifying the system would be the monitor. Have you considered the option of purchasing a higher resolution monitor such as QHD with 144hz?

I looked on the web, and people told me to buy new CPU. Would a 5600x and a new motherboard work?

A new motherboard and processor would work if you're up to the task of upgrading the system. Are you trying to stay within Intel or would you want to switch to AMD?

The 5600X is a great processor overall.
