Custom PC for music production and content creation

Any suggestions on how to squeeze every last penny out of this machine? My budget is around $2,000 for the pc, a 4K monitor and keyboard and mouse. My main purpose is to have a silent, but powerful pc for music production and content creation for YouTube. I’d like to be able to edit multiple layers of 4k footage without lag, have as much SSD and HDD storage (7200 rpm) as possible, and Thunderbolt 3 compatibility as well as other USB ports.

Are there any parts you would exchange for better parts within my $2,000 budget?

Thank you!

Hey Josh,
We are actually finishing up a Best PC-build for DAW Article as we speak. So look out for that. Should be posted today or tomorrow.

That said, here's a suggestion that would fit your requirements:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9GHz 8-Core Processor ($329.99)
CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Prism Cooler (Included with CPU) (-)
Motherboard: ASRock X570 Creator ATX AM4 ($450.00)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660TI 6GB - Gigabyte Windforce ($289.99)
Memory: 16GB (2 x 8GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 C16 ($68.99)
Storage SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($113.93)
Storage PCIe-SSD: Crucial P1 1TB, M.2 Solid State Drive ($103.99)
Storage HDD: Seagate BarraCuda Compute 4TB, 3.5" ($80.95)
Power Supply: Corsair CX Series CX550M 550W ATX 2.4 Power Supply ($84.99)
Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Black ATX Mid Tower Case ($119.99)
Total: $1640.82

The ASRock X570 Creator has 2 Thunderbolt ports, lots of other USB Ports and the build includes a bunch of storage options for OS/Apps, the project files, and a backup hdd.

As for a Monitor jo can take a look at the BenQ PD2700Q, 27" which would fit your budget and has a good IPS panel at 27". As for Mouse and Keyboard, those two are very subjective so I'll let you pick them out for yourself.
