Hey! Loving this site - thanks for the resources :) This would be my first PC build, and though I've been researching here and there the last few months, this is all a little above my head so I appreciate any feedback...

I'm a vis dev artist in the animation industry (I don't animate lol), heavily using of photoshop but looking to incorporate some 3d modeling tools particularly for use in environmental design. Interested in breaking into architecture + int design visualization as well (but more on a hobby level.)

In the past, I've always used studio/office resources and I'm luckily to remote in with work from home, but I'd like to set up a modest work station for personal use. Below parts come to around ~$1500, which I'm pretty happy with, but I'm willing to increase a little if it would have a noticeable impact on performance.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, BK022, 250W TDP, CPU Cooler
Motherboard: GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC (AM4 AMD/B550/ATX/Dual M.2/SATA 6Gb/s/USB 3.2 Gen 2/Intel Dual Band 802.11AC WiFi/2.5 GbE LAN/PCIe 4.0/RGB Fusion 2.0/DDR4/Gaming Motherboard)
Graphics Card: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 Ti OC 6G 192-bit GDDR6 DisplayPort 1.4 HDMI 2.0B with Windforce 2X Cooling System Graphic Cards- Gv-N166TOC-6GD *some trouble sourcing
Memory (RAM): Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz C16 DDR4 DRAM Memory Kit – Black
PCIe-SSD: Samsung (MZ-V7E1T0BW) 970 EVO SSD 1TB - M.2 NVMe Interface Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology, Black/Red
Power Supply: Corsair RMX Series (2018), RM650x, 650 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply
Case: Phanteks PH-EC300PTG_BW Eclipse P300 Tempered Glass Steel ATX Mid Tower Case Black/White

Lastly, I'm also hunting around for a budget friendly ultra wide monitor. Fav recos? Would love to keep it under $500 to compliment this build.

Thank you! 😀

Looks good to me, I see no issues! Of course with the new Ryzen CPUs released, those might be interesting for you too. The 5900X would get you a good speed boost in active workstation performance.

As for a monitor, have you considered the iiyama G-Master GB3461WQSU-B1?

Thanks for the reply! I would totally scoop a 5900x if it was in stock anywhere (or anytime soon ha). I'll check out the monitor.
