Is it worth building a computer over buying complete?

I want to get a new computer and found this article saying its better and cheaper to build your own. I want to do a range of applications from animation, modeling, cad, and photoshop. I also want to be able to open multiple apps at one time. I have build a DYI 3D printer so I think I can handle building this computer. So I guess my question is beside pro/cons of building a computer is do you really save money building your own and if so how much 100 dollars more/less? I'm having a tuff time comparing computer to this build. Any thoughts would be asperated.

This is the build below I'm thinking of building.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor ($399.00)
CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler (Included with CPU) (-)
Motherboard: MSI X570 Tomahawk ATX AM4 ($249.99)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 8GB - Asus Dual ($1039.99)
Memory: 16GB (2 x 8GB) G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 C16 ($134.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: Crucial P1 1TB, M.2 Solid State Drive ($104.99)
Power Supply: Corsair CX Series CX550M 550W ATX 2.4 Power Supply ($69.99)
Case: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 ($139.99)
Total: $2138.94

The build looks good to me, with some price-inflations warnings on the GPU. Usually it is cheaper to buy individual parts and build yourself, though with the current stock situation and price-inflations, at times it's cheaper to buy a pre-built. Or at least in a pre-built there's another chance you might actually get some stock.
