Hi, I've recently gotten a new pc (Specs: Intel Core i5 11400f, RTX 2060 SUPER, 1x 16GB RAM) there seems to be a problem when playing games. The problem being, that my GPU usage sits around 40% or below when playing games and it gives me around 60fps or below. I've seen videos on the internet with the same specs and they seem to be getting higher performance and higher gpu usage than my pc. I really want a solution as I have a 165hz monitor and its only using 60fps in games.

Is the monitor actually set to 165hz? You can check this in Windows Display settings. You should also be able to set this in the Nvidia Geforce Experience Tool that should have been installed with the drivers.

And the FPS hard cap at 60? Or do they go above 60 at times?

It goes above 60 sometimes. The GPU usage is normal around 90% in menus or lobby in games but when I start missions or games, it drops to 40% or below. When the GPU usage is at 90% I get normal fps of about more than 100

What games are these? A few examples would help. Also, check if your Vsync is off (both in-game and in the Nvidia control panel)

Some of these games are, Spiderman Remastered, Ready or Not and Batman Arkham Knight. I've checked and V-Sync. Is off in game and in control panel. Although, I so have G-Sync on as it is compatible with my monitor.

Quite weird. Try a DDU and reinstall your drivers once (link and details in the article here)

PS. Could also be a CPU bottleneck (though a Core i5 11400F should be just fine with most games that you listed 🤔). But just in case, track your CPU usage and temps when playing those games using HwInfo
