CGDirector.com Parts List: https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=6Nfpy

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4GHz 16-Core Processor ($537.11)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ($89.90)
Motherboard: MSI X570 Tomahawk ATX AM4 ($219.99)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3090 24GB - EVGA FTW3 ($1693.00)
Memory: 64GB (4 x 16GB) G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 C16 ($364.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive ($159.99)
Power Supply: Corsair RMx Series RM750x 750W Power Supply ($138.90)
Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 205 Mid Tower Case ($164.19)
Total: $3368.07

This is the build I picked for my budget in PC Builder. I currently use a 2020 iMac. Will this build blow me away in rendering times? Also - is this system expandable? In other words could I add in a 2nd GPU card later and would it help? I simply hate long wait times for rendering and have always had them! I used Lightwave on several Macs starting in 2003.

I plan on keeping my iMac for Graphic Design but want to add pc capability for rendering.

Yep, this should completely blow away your iMac times for rendering as well as any sort of viewport work. And yes, you should be able to add a second GPU down the line, no problem :)

PS. I think this machine will outperform your iMac in graphic design tasks as well. What's the CPU on that iMac atm?

3.4 Intel i9 (I think) it was top of the iMac line when I bought in in August 2020.
