Hello everyone

The question is simple:
Can someone with experience in modeling, rendering, post-production suggest the most appropriate monitor size and resolution?

I do everything related to 3D in 3D Max, and image processing in Photoshop.

The dilemma exists because I simply have never had experience with 4k resolution monitor, nor with a monitor larger than 27 inches. All I know is that I need at least two 27 monitors for good productivity.

I'm just not sure if monitors larger than 27 are productive for 3D Max?
Also is 4k recommended for working in 3D max?

Maybe it's not bad to mention that I have eye problems, ie. that I like a little bigger icons and text.

I hope someone will share their experience.

Best regards
S

In my experience, 4k on 27" will have very little text and icons, and they are too tiny for me, so I have to switch on windows display scaling to 150% which makes the scaled icons and text somewhat blurry (bigger, but blurry).

So what I did is, I have two 27" Monitors, one is WQHD one is 4K. The WQHD is used as the main monitor that displays the GUI / Viewport, and the 4K Monitor takes care of any Footage previews in compositing apps, reference images, photoshop canvas, etc.

Thank you Alex for sharing your experience. I really appreciate it!

If you find time, maybe you can suggest some particular 27" model (WQHD & 4K) for 2022?

The BenQ PD2700Q, 27" is still a great wqhd Monitor, as for the 4K I'd go with something like the Dell UltraSharp U2720Q, 27".

If your budget is higher, take a look at ASUS ProArt Monitors.

Thanks, Alex
I think I will go for 2x DELL U2722DE.
And for 4k I think I will go for some 32" with bigger AdobeRGB... not sure...
