Looking for a pc to do a little bit of everything, but i’m on a tight budget so nothing to fancy. i could spend a couple hundred dollars more but not much more than that.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9GHz 8-Core Processor ($379.99)
CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Prism Cooler (Included with CPU) (-)
Motherboard: MSI B550-A Pro ATX AM4 ($143.00)
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 560 4GB XFX ($349.99)
Memory: 16GB (2 x 8GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 C16 ($91.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB NVME M.2 Solid State Drive ($67.99)
Power Supply: Corsair CX Series CX450M 450W ATX 2.4 Power Supply ($64.99)
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case ($99.99)
Total: $1197.94

This is what came out of the generator for me, main use would be video and photo editing, but i would also be doing small amount of gaming. don’t know a thing about anything so any advice at all would be great. thank you.

Apart from the GPU this is a nice allrounder build for the type of workloads you'd like to run. The GPU though is quite low level compared to the other parts and you'll be much happier with something like a 1660 Super or 2060 Super.

GPU prices seem to be coming back down from their highs, but you still might have to wait a bit longer to get a better deal.

Thank you very much (this is the same person from an actual account rather than a guest account). Would both of those GPUs still be compatible with everything? and would it be a bad idea to buy used products to get a lower price?

Both GPUs I listed are fully compatible with the other parts - you SHOULD get a stronger PSU though to be on the safe side. 550W or 650W will give you enough headroom.

You can also look at used GPUs, but at times the GPUs might have been used for mining or are in a bad condition. So you'll need a bit of luck to make a good buy.
