Hey there,
I'm trying to build a CAD computer for my husbands late Christmas gift and I thought I had all the parts and now I'm getting cold feet. Do I need a CPU cooler/ fan? A HDD along with the SSD? Will these parts work together? Below is the list of parts. He will be using this computer with CAD programs that will assist in home construction (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and home additions. Mainly AutoCAD. I was hoping for a quick check of the parts I have and maybe suggest any parts I'm missing. It would be much appreciated!
Thanks! Courtney Lopez

The parts themselves look good to me and are compatible. Yes you'll need a CPU cooler, such as the beQuiet Dark Rock Pro4 or any other socket LGA1200 compatible air cooler.

The GPU is of an older generation and overpriced, but GPUs are very hard to come by currently, so you might not find anything else available. If you can find a 3070 or 3080 at a reasonable price (no more than $750 for the 3080, no more than 650$ for the 3070) get one of those two. If not, the 1080Ti is fine.

You don't necessarily need a HDD. It's nice to have a HDD for backups and archiving of your projects though, but no necessity.

The rest looks good to me! :)
