Hello everyone, my name is Marc,
I have been following the forum for a long time, and I have decided to set up my first pc build.
I usually work with after effects, fusion and Blender the type of projects I work on usually require large image formats, more than 4k.

After looking at all the recommended builds for after effects, blender and fusion, I think that the Ryzen 5950x maybe the most suitable, and I was thinking of putting 128Gb of RAM, I have consulted the QVL list of the motherboard, making the purchase from Spain and It's hard to find RAM, I found this one that seems compatible "CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro SL 128GB" although I'm afraid it won't fit with the CPU cooler!!

For the GPU I'm waiting to see if I can get one that doesn't have such an inflated price, for now I'll keep the nvidia rtx 2080 from my old computer, but the idea is to upgrade to a 3080 when I get the chance.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4 GHz

CPU Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4

Motherboard : MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI

GPU:

Storage SSD:
SAMSUNG 870 EVO 2.5" 1000 GB

Storage PCIe-SSD: 2 x Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 2TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 3D TLC NVMe

Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro SL 128GB (4x32GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) C16

Power Supply: Corsair RM750X V2 750W 80 Plus Gold Modular

Case: NZXT H510

Thanks for your help!

Looks good to me. The CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro SL 128GB Modules are quite tall, true, though you can move the outer Fan on the CPU cooler up a bit which should make them fit. Unless they are too tall to fit underneath the radiator fins.

I've got a Dark Rock Pro 4 with G.Skill Trident Z Royal gold DIMM Kit 128GB, which are the same height, so I am pretty sure they should fit.

Hi Marc,

On this page Be Quiet provide some mesurements you can refer to and compare to the specs of the RAM height-wise:
