Hi - Looking to build a new PC in the UK for circa £2000 primarily for video editing. The site came up with the following spec:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 4.5GHz 16-Core Processor ($541.99)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ($89.90)
Motherboard: MSI PRO B650-P WIFI ATX AM5 ($189.99)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 8GB - EVGA FTW3 ($330.99)
Memory: 32GB (2x16GB) G.Skill Flare X5 Series DDR5-6400 CL32 ($119.99)
Storage SSD: Samsung 870 EVO 4TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($219.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: WD Black SN850X 2TB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive ($139.99)
Storage HDD: Seagate BarraCuda Compute 8TB, 3.5" ($109.99)
Power Supply: Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 650W ATX 2.4 Power Supply ($131.80)
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case ($129.99)
Total: $2004.62
Any comments from the illustrious experts here on this? (Thanks).
My main question would be why is there so much storage included... I understand the fast NVMe for the video segments .... But I would think 2TB would be more than enough for my needs with the op system etc on the HDD.... Can I drop the "Storage SSD" and save some budget?
