Hi All,
New here , great site , read some nice articles.
I am planning to purchase a laptop especially for Video Editing with Filmora software.

I have opted for AMD Ryzen with 8GB RAM, budget around INR 40000 ( India )

I got the below 2 options – both come with almost same price- INR 41000

Option 1:

HP 15s ,15s-GR0012AU Laptop

Ryzen 3 Dual Core 3250U, 8 GB, 1 TB HDD, 256 GB SSD, Windows 10 Home

Option 2:

DELL Inspiron 3505 Laptop ,

Ryzen 5 Quad Core 3450U , 8 GB, 256 GB SSD, Windows 10 Home

Please suggest which one I need to choose.

Many Thanks,
Ravi

Neither of those look too ideal, tbh. Ryzen 3000 mobile isn't that great. Any Ryzen 4000/5000 parts? Or anything Intel 11th Gen in that price range?

I would pick this one based solely on CPU performance. Does your workflow not need a GPU? Any options with discrete graphics? Or are those priced much higher?

It depends, but mostly the Intels would be better until Ryzen 3000. Ryzen 4000 and 5000 are mostly better than Intel counterparts.

Thanks Jerry , regarding GPU and graphics , I do not need them much - majority of my work is editing videos with minimum transitions / effects for YouTube with FHD / 1080 videos. And also I am not much into playing games - I don't use my laptop for playing games.
Many thanks for clarifying will go with the above option. :)
I was mistaken i thought Core i5 10th Gen is better than Core i3 11th Gen - just simply because Core i5 is advanced :)

Oh I didn't notice that i5 in there :D Yep, the Core i5 will give you an additional 2 cores. So if it's a similar price, that's a good pick. The single-core performance on the 11th gen is better (~10%), but the two extra cores will definitely make up for it in production work.

Neithr of those are best which you mention. If you want to purchased a laptop for video editing i personally experienced and suggest you
Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1060 GPU,it includes high graphic card and high resolution display also.
