New macbooks for motion design

Hey Guys, I am planning on buying the new Macbook M1 Pro/Max specifically for Video editing and motion design. I'd love to hear some thoughts on the performance of the new laptops and if someone has had first-hand experience with these machines.

My current choice for a Macbook goes like this:

Apple M1 Max, 10-core CPU,24 core GPU
32GB unified memory
1TB SSD storage
14-inch display

Most of my work is 2D vector-based animation and character animation and Also Video editing for digital media content.
Should I go for a 32GB M1 Pro, or a 32 GB M1 Max?
Please share your opinions and Thanks in advance :)

The CPU part of the chip is pretty much the same in max and pro, though the max can have a more powerful iGPU. You won't see a difference in active work but might see higher performance when rendering out your projects to codecs that are GPU accelerated.

Thank you Alex for your input. What would you recommend though? Currently, my work is very basic editing and motion design but with this new machine, I'm hoping to expand possibilities for higher-end work (3D animation, color grading, etc) as well.

The MAX sure is faster in various workloads, especially Metal-supported render engines or Applications. So If you're doing GPU Rendering in 3D I'd go for the MAX to be on the safe side.
