Good day, I'm Juan from Colombia, but live in France.
I was interested to join this community to learn more about how I can build my own computer to do animation on Unreal Engine, both 2d and 3d, as well as video editing. I'm trying to buy a computer or build one, so would really appreciate your feedback!
I already looked it up, the new MAC with 8TB of RAM and all the good specs, costs me around $4,500 dollars. That's an insane amount of money. I have decided it'll cost me less than half to build my own PC. Yes, I really wanted a laptop, because I do travel a lot, but a PC will do for now.
The site gave me these suggestions:
CGDirector.com Parts List: https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=6NoVX
CPU: Intel Core i5 12600K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor ($277.99)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ($89.90)
Motherboard: ASUS Prime B660-PLUS DDR4 ATX LGA1700 ($139.99)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB - MSI Gaming X Trio ($494.07)
Memory: 32GB (2 x 16GB) G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 C16 ($94.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive ($119.99)
Power Supply: Corsair RMx Series RM750x 750W Power Supply ($147.29)
Case: be quiet! Pure Base 600 Black ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.90)
Total: $1454.12
However, wouldn't it be better to have an Intel Core i9, an RTX 3090TI 24GB, and other DDR5 components? Any other thoughts on how I can make this computer as powerful as possible without going past my budget. I want a computer that can run the most heavy things in Unreal Engine 5, animation programs and video editing for the next few years.
