New Ryzen 5000 - worth waiting for?

Just saw that AMD announced the new 5000 series for Ryzen... available early Nov.

If one is building a GPU-powered renderer, is the 5000 series going to be that big of a deal? Or should one save the $$ and maybe look for lower 3000 prices?

(this assumes I am going Ryzen... still haven't decided if I'm doing that or Threadripper)...

Hey Andy,
Having a slightly faster CPU will do almost nothing for your gpu performance, unless the cpu is severely under-powered. So I'd say it is safe to go with a current gen Ryzen or Threadripper for the means of build a gpu-render focused workstation.
