Hi, I have an Asus Pro WS X570-ACE mobo and it is so weird that the ram I have does not fit the slot.
At some point, I stopped pressing because I didn't want to break it. It was definitively too much force, and yes the secure thingy on the sides were open.

It is a crucial ballistic I thought there was something wrong I tried with a gskill neo, the same result.
Enough to say that I called the support that says "this mobo supports ECC memory, do you have ECC memory?"

I have realized that my memory is non-ECC BUT before the shame, I checked the qvl and I have found much non-ecc memory that is supported.

I am wondering, are the ecc memory dents slightly smaller??! I thought the only difference was in the actual memory packs and I also thought that, because of the nonecc models supported, I simply would have lost the ECC function by using non-ecc memory on that specific board.
Both gskill and crucial are saying that the ram is compatible with the mobo.

They asked me to make a video to send to the support.
I mean I can return it if it is really an issue, but it seems so weird..
any ideas?

Do you think I can use nonecc memory on Pro WS X570-ACE?

Both ecc and non ecc ddr4 modules are physically the same. Did you have the modules rotated correctly? They can only be inserted in one direction.

You don't need ECC for that motherboard or any x570 motherboard, I am not sure what the support is trying here :D

Be sure the indentation in the middle, where the pins are, line up with the slot. Crucial Ballistix DDR4 will work just fine on that Motherboard.

Yes, thanks.
In the end, I tried a little bit harder pushing more on the harder side and it worked.
I am not sure either what they were trying to tell me, he caught me off guard.

Another question. Do you think that the fact the AIO is almost touching the heat sink would be a problem?
This is for that arctic liquid freezer, in the manual they say that they can provide adjusted plates if they don't fit the mobo. Again I am on the edge, they fit sure, but they are touching. I am waiting for their reply, but I am 99% of the idea to continue like this.

You mean the brackets are touching the VRM heat-sinks? That shouldn't be a problem.
