Hi,
I don't claim to know much about this, but I have been hearing that for Content Creators the more budget-friendly 'KF' variant of the Intel 12700 Chips might be a source of regret as for the extra $50.00 or so, the 'K' version offers significantly better hardware acceleration for Creator Apps.
Does anyone know why exactly?

The KF really just means the iGPU is disabled on the die. It should make no difference performance-wise on the CPU side of things. Unless the iGPU is doing some heavy lifting and heating up the CPU package, you should see the same performance on both K and KF CPUs.

Where did you hear this?

Ah, I found this that has a rant about it:

He seems to be saying that the new iGPUs onboard the 12th Gen Processors have superior hardware encode/decode codex performance for video and Photoshop. Better speed even than a dedicated nvidia Card. If this is the case, then it could be due largely to the iGPU interface-to-the-Cores speed?

Anyway it would be interesting to see some comparison benchmarking.
