Just about ready to make the jump from my 20 years of mac to a PC. Still a little unsure about the best way to go for a machine that will do a ton of Fusion 360, plenty of blender, and hopefully a bit of Unity or Unreal engine game dev. Here's what the site helped me come up with:
CGDirector.com Parts List: https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=zq1Cg0l0Emg
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9GHz 8-Core Processor ($339.99)
CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Prism Cooler (Included with CPU) (-)
Motherboard: MSI X570 Tomahawk ATX AM4 ($249.67)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB - MSI Gaming ($310.49)
Memory: 32GB (2 x 16GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 C16 ($129.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: Crucial P1 1TB, M.2 Solid State Drive ($104.99)
Power Supply: Corsair CX Series CX550M 550W ATX 2.4 Power Supply ($93.26)
Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Black ATX Mid Tower Case ($123.99)
Total: $1352.38
I will probably end up doing some gaming and music production on this machine too, who knows, but the idea is that my macbook becomes a dedicated music machine, and all of my work and 3D stuff moves to the fancy PC.
Does this seem reasonable? Anywhere I should upgrade, or anywhere I can save some money? I'm hoping to come in around $1500 total, so any bucks to shave would be great here too. I'm hoping this will blow my 2.2GHz i7 Macbook Pro laptop out of the water.
Thanks in advance!
