I've been passionately lurking for months. I'm now ready to move from iMac to PC!

I just want to make sure these parts are compatible before buying.

Also, I'd like to make sure that with such a setup, I'll eventually be able to put in 2x 3080's.

I model and animate consumer products with C4D and render them with Arnold. I tend to use render farms for final outputs, but I would love to have a quicker refresh rate in my IPR window. The CPU on my iMac can simply not keep up.

CPU: Intel Core I9-9900K (I want my viewport to give me real-time dynamics)
MOTHERBOARD: WS Z390 PRO (as recommend for overclocking i9)
GPU: MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 2060 Super Gaming X 8GB (should be fast enough, until the 3080's are out. Once they are, I'll buy 2 of them).
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16GB) 3200 MHz (is 32GB enough?)
PS: Corsair CP-9020179-NA RMX Series RM750x (maybe a slight overkill for setup listed here, but hopefully it's enough wattage for 2x 3080's?)
SSD: Sabrent 500GB Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0
CPU COOLER: be quiet! Dark Rock 4, BK021
CASE: Fractal Design Define XL R2 Titanium (big enough for 2x 3080's I think...)

PRICE 2600$ CAD (2000$ US)

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Vince,
Because the new 3080 Series does support pcie4, we'll have to wait and see how well they make use of it. The review should be out today-ish.

If pcie3 x16 is sufficient for the 3080s, then yes, you can use the setup above for two of them.

You definitely need a stronger PSU though, as 750W just isn't enough. Each 3080 draws 320W Power (=640W) leaving just 110W for the rest of the system which is not enough. Go with 850 or better 1000W to be on the safe side or have some headroom if you decide to go with 3090s.

Thank you for your response Alex. Bought the pieces.

Without this golden website, I doubt I ever would have had the confidence to make the MAC -> PC jump.

So thank you!
