pc for mainly gaming

i am very very new to pc's and desktops as i have a 2012 mac that i am looking to upgrade from. i dont have many questions on specifically what to look for but my budget is around $1000 and i plan on using the pc for mainly gaming, school work and editing. here is what i got recommended.

Thanks to inflated graphics card prices, the $1000 budget isn't really ideal nowadays. If you could stretch to $1100-1200, you can get a Ryzen 5 3600 along with an RTX 3060 graphics card, which would be a considerable upgrade to this build.
