Probably blasphemy, but, any good off the shelf workstations for Blender?

Fighting with a tight deadline project that requires Blender and the MacBook Pro is not cutting it. Understanding that I'll pay a premium for off the shelf are there any decent options?

Graphic designer who dips into After Effects/Premiere Pro/Cinema 4d work on occasion and have been noticing disappointing performance from my Mac with each. Was considering switching to a PC and this is pushing me towards it.

Don't necessarily have the time to build unless there just aren't any off the shelf options that are worthwhile.

Thanks for any input!

Totally legitimate question, especially with the current crazy price-inflations and low stock of some parts. A pre-built might have better availability and pricing than building yourself right now.

Take a look at the Corsair options Corsair One and Corsair Vengeance, both have solid parts that'll run your Blender workloads nicely.

Of course there are sites like ibuypower, cyberpower, skytech, Origin that too let you select some options and build the pc for you before shipping.

Here's some more info if you need it: https://www.cgdirector.com/where-to-buy-pre-built-pcs-workstations/

A PC will give you much more performance and is also upgradeable so it kinda depends on whether you need access to something portable. If you're wondering whether an M1 Mac or a Windows Laptop is the best option - for performance, a laptop with a discrete 30-series will smoke the M1 by a good margin. However, they do tend to be heavier and use more power. So, if you value battery life and a thin-light form factor, the M1 is an option. But for performance, PCs/laptops with a discrete graphics card.

I don't have personal experience with them, but Titan Computers makes prebuilt workstations and they have offerings based on usage :

I happened to come across them a few weeks back because they offer financing.

Titan Computers looks decent as well. As always, pricing is a lot higher vs. building yourself. They seem to recommend Intel CPUs a lot, which doesn't really make sense at the moment, so be sure to put one together yourself (on their site).

Can't say anything about reliability, warranty, support, or their build quality, though.
