I've pretty much settled on everything I want for my build except for the RAM, at first I was thinking of getting 128 gigs, but the more I think about it the more excessive it seems, should I stick to 64?
I mess with all sorts of stuff (video/audio/photo editing, motion graphics, VFX, 3D modeling) but I'm making this beefy PC mainly for game development in Unreal Engine 5.

I've settled on a Threadripper 3960 & GTX 3090 if that's of interest to anyone.

I worked on 64GB for a long time but recently upgraded to 128GB. Mostly because I was having more and more applications opened at the same time and didn't want to close them down when I was working on multiple projects simultaneously.

I am a 3D artist and motion designer, and the adobe apps, after effects, premiere pro and cinema 4d just eat it up like it's nothing.

I'd say it depends on how many projects and applications you have opened at any given time. 64GB can be enough. 128GB will definitely be enough.

I think at most I'll have 2 development applications open at the same time working on the same project, guess I'll give 64 a go and if I don't like it I'll add the rest later.

Thanks for the input.
