SSD Drive Cloning Question

Hey,
I haven't stated my build yet, but i had a question, i bought the Samsung 860 Pro 512BG SSD and the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB SSD for my new build.
i currently in my old Laptop have a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD that i've been using for the last few years.
can i clone the SSD in my Laptop, clone it to one of the new drives?
would that work in the sense of having windows and all my current programs on my new build?

is that even possible? i never like having to start over completely fresh and it would be ideal to have all my files/programs/settings easily on my new computer.

Yes that's possible with a tool such as MacriumReflect. Do note though, that the clone would attempt to boot on your new hardware which might come with some issues because the drivers don't match the new hardware. Usually Windows can take care of this though.

I would clone the your old OS (850) to the 860, that leaves you with the faster 970 for project files, which is recommended. :)
