I'm in C4D Redshift and Octane and After Effects. As far as I can tell, this would probably do the trick. but please check my math

CPU: Ryzen 5950x ($799.99)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S TR4-SP3 ($79.90)
Motherboard: Gigabyte X399 Aorus Pro ATX TR4 ($274.99)
GPU: 3080 ti ($999.99)
GPU #2: 3080 ti ($999.99)
Memory: 128GB (8 x 16GB) Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3200 C16 ($659.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 2TB NVME M.2 Solid State Drive ($249.99)
Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 1200 P2 80+ Platinum Power Supply ($318.86)
Case: Thermaltake Core P8 Tempered Glass E-ATX Full-Tower Chassis Computer Case CA-1Q2-00M1WN-00 (or something equally sexy) ($278.99)

My thinking is that I will pick up everything BESIDES THE CPU AND GPU on cyber Monday, and then God willing, get those as soon as they are available. I suspect it will be a challenge considering the current scarcity, but does anyone have any advice on the fastest/cheapest way to do all this? Would it be possible to get the CPU at the same time as the other base components? Definitely interested in having somebody build this for me if the price is right. Also, does this look reasonably upgradable? I don't want to be stuck with it ad infinitum. Thanks, friends.

There are a couple of things to note here: The Ryzen 5950X needs a X570 or B550 Motherboard. The x399 chipset motherboard you have listed in your build is for 1st and 2nd gen Threadripper CPUs only. So go get a MSI Unify X570 or Asus WS Ace x570 so they are compatible with the 5950X.

The CPU Cooler is available for either Threadripper CPUs (the TR4-SP3) or for Ryzen CPUs. Be sure to get the NH-U14S for AM4 Sockets, NOT the one for TR4-SP3 Sockets.

You won't be able to add 8 modules of memory to an x570 Motherboard, get 4x 32GB Modules if you need 128GB total.

The rest looks good to me.

Your 3080 prices are a bit high, at least in the US, you can get a 3080 for about $700-$750. Inventory is improving, check out Zotac's nightly drops at 9:41pm eastern. The Nvidia discord has lots of good info on drops and how to find them. Check the case clearance on your 1200 power supply, that is a BIG PSU and might be overkill for (2) 3080s. ( I had a 1200 running 4x 980tis for reference).

Also, your probably never going to need that much RAM unless you are loading heavy assembly datasets or entire cities. I have 64, and have never even peaked 32 in 20 yrs of 3d work.

Finally, budget for a couple of larger standard hard drives, set them up in RAID 1 for data redundancy and project storage. You don't want to be using your primary drive for asset storage and management. You could go SSD, but it's not really worth it on price per TB.
