Understanding the 5 graphic card configuration

Hello there, I want to build a render farm, and I was digging in your site and found this configuration.

But makes me wondering about the benefit of having 4 graphic cards in the same system. what is the advantage?. this configuration is equal to have four computers?.

Hey hto,
That particular build is meant for GPU rendering. So if you're doing 3D Modeling, Animation, VFX and workloads like those, you'll need a lot of GPUs for fast Rendering. With 4 GPUs your renders will be almost 4 times as fast as with just one.

4 GPUs won't help you in most general workloads, though. You can't make use of them for Design or Word-processing for example, and can't make use of them in gaming.
