Xeon or Threadripper

Hi everyone.

I am in the process of upgrading.
So far these are the three options I'm looking at.
Any advice is welcome, thank you.

Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4
22 cores
2.20GHz
( two in a dual socket motherboard to harness 44 cores )


Option B
AMD Threadripper 2990WX
32 cores
4.2 GHz max boost clock


Option C
AMD Threadripper Pro 3955WX
16 cores
4.3 GHz max boost clock

If you're doing any active work, I would stay away from 1st and 2nd Gen Threadrippers and older Xeons. The 3955WX is decent. But if you have the budget, a Threadripper Pro 5000 part would be best.
