Hello! So, I'm a COMPLETE NOOB when it comes to building a computer and just overall hardware in general, but I'm taking the plunge and deciding to build my own PC!
I'm a recent graduate breaking into the animation industry, and my focus is on 2D animation (ToonBoom Harmony, TV paint), but I also like to model and do occasional 3D animation (Zbrush, Blender, Maya)
(I also used after effects for compositing)
My budget is $1500, but of course, if I can get away with spending less without compromising too much quality, I would love any help is finding out where I could save a penny or two! While doing research on here, I used both the custom PC builder, but also looked through the "Best PC for 3D/2D animation at ~$1500" article, and now I can't decide between the two. The two biggest differences I noticed are the CPU and the graphics card - one has a more expensive CPU with a cheaper Graphics Card and vice-versa. When it comes to animation, which would be a better area to focus on: CPU or Graphics Card? Or does it not matter? And are there any other thoughts between the two builds that I should know about!
Thank you so much for listening to my beginner ramblings!
