Need help to build workstation for 3d rendering

Hi.. I’m planning to build a new PC for 3d rendering like blender and clo3d…these are the specs I’m planning to buy .. please suggest if anything better..

ryzen 9 7900x
b650 - motherboard
16*2 - ram
1 tb ssd - hard disk
650w - smps
nividia 3060 or 4060 ti or 4070 bit confused here. Or any other suggestions?
240 liquid cooler
and I need suggestions for monitor

Looks like a great build already. I'd swap the HDD for an NVMe SSD if it's within your budget, as HDDs are a bottleneck in many workloads. It's great to have one for backups/archiving and the like as their cost/TB is low, but not much else.

Well if you can swing a RTX 4070Ti, of course it'll help tremendously in GPU rendering workloads, but it'll depend on the kind of render engine you're using. Blender benefits from a strong GPU, so it would make sense.

For color accurate work while still being cost-effective I'd suggest something like the BenQ PD2700U, 27" monitor, but it'll depend a bit on the kind of budget you're looking to spend.

First of all.. thank u so much for d time n response.. i got it.. it’s a kind of budget issue here.. if I can switch it to 4070ti.. I need to look at alternative cpu.. could u suggest cost effective cpu in intel/Amd without any problem for using 4070 ti?

Well you can certainly get something like a 7600X which is about 150$ cheaper than the 7900X as long as you're doing mostly GPU rendering. For Blender, you could even go further down and buy a 5600X, as GPU Rendering performance in Blender isn't tied to CPU single Core Performance (like in other engines such as redshift).

I wouldn't go down much further, though, as you'll want a snappy viewport when actively working inside your software, and that's only possible with CPUs that are adequately clocked and have high single-core performance. Of course, for a 5xxx series CPU you'll want a different motherboard. B550 for example.

this is getting clear now slowly… and one last question, as I was reading ur threads, I found that i7 is better than 7900X. Can I consider i5 or i7 For cost n smooth workflow?

Sure! They're about on par in most workloads, but single core performance is often a bit higher on Intel's side. Intel does have higher power-draw, though, so that may come into play if your electricity cost or ambient temp are high.
