I'm very new to the PC building world and I'm looking to create my first PC. I used the pc builder to get a list for video editing because it recommended that for a gaming build. I don't have much experience and I've been doing some preliminary research. I've received a power supply and case as a gift so its different than the recommended one. I'm willing to spend more if it means a more effective result.
Thank your for your help!

How much CAD work do you usually handle? If the build is primarily for gaming, I'd definitely try finding a better graphics card for that price. Also, switch to an Intel build for this price point - https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=6N0HX
It'll give you marginally better performance without any downsides. You can swap out the motherboard for something in the $150 range to save a bit more.
