Hi All,
I have just joined here as I am trying to make a decision for a new build and after seeing all the other threads here I am still unsure what to do.
I was wanting to go for a 5950x/5900x but due to non-existent stock levels and the imminent release of the 11900k from Intel I have thought to wait until the release in March and build around that, but I just read another thread about building a lower end cpu'd AMD setup but upgrading the cpu only down the road.
Which would be the best route to go at this stage for my uses? I was thinking the higher single-core clock would be best but having that extra oomph of the 59xx chip would be better overall, so would it be best to build a decent AMD setup now with maybe a 5600/5800 cpu option and replace the cpu later to the 59xx, or wait and go the next-gen 11900k?
I've also struggled to decide on the motherboards for either side of it as there are so many options around.
I am also on the hunt for 3080's but again these seem to not be happening, though also hoping that a 3080 20gb or so model comes out soon that I could pick up instead.
Any help and thoughts on the above would be much appreciated.
Thanks
