Hello,

I’m new to PC building and have used the PC Builder Tool, using the recommended Video Editing base for my gaming PC.

I wanted to know if there was anything I should substitute for a better overall gaming experience.

Here is the list of parts the PC Builder gave me:

AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT 3.9GHz 8-Core Processor ($374.99)

be quiet! Dark Rock 4 ($74.90)

MSI X570 Tomahawk ATX AM4 (249.99)

Nvidia RTX 3060 12GB -EVGA XC Gaming ($756.99)

16GB (2 x 8GB) G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 C16 ($69.99)

Samsung 86o EVO 1TB 2.4” Solid Slate Dive ($149.09)

ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB NVMe M.2 Solid Slate Drive ($64.99)

Seagate BarraCuda Compute 3TB, 3.5” ($79.99)

Corsair CX Series CX550M 550W ATX 2.4 Power Supply ($109.95)

Fractal Design Define R5 Black ATX Mid Tower Case ($150.10)

Total:$2,083.98

Any recommendations would be very appreciate,
Thank you and I look forward for your advice.

Hunting for cheaper graphics card options locally would be the first step. Other than that, I'd also up that power supply a little if you want to leave some room for future upgrades and don't want to deal with ripping out all the cabling to install a new one. 650W should give you more than enough headroom without spending too much more.

For this price range, I'd actually recommend going Intel 12th Gen for your CPU + motherboard:

CGDirector.com Parts List: https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=6N0HZ

CPU: Intel Core i7 12700K 3.6GHz 12-Core Processor ($394.99)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ($89.90)
Motherboard: MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk DDR4 ATX LGA1700 ($279.99)
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6500XT - XFX Speedster ($279.99)
Memory: 32GB (2 x 16GB) G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 C16 ($128.99)
Storage SSD: Samsung 870 QVO 2TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($189.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: Samsung 980 PRO 1TB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive ($149.99)
Storage HDD: Seagate BarraCuda Compute 4TB, 3.5" ($69.99)
Power Supply: EVGA 650 B5, 80 Plus Bronze 650W Power Supply ($77.99)
Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Black ATX Mid Tower Case ($151.24)
Total: $1813.06

Core i5 12600K + B660 Motherboard is also a very good option if you want to save a bit more money without losing too much gaming performance.

You also probably don't really need a PRO SSD, so switch that out to a 1TB NVMe drive in the $100~ range.
