Best universal multimedia PC

Hi !
I want to build a computer that is mainly used for AAE and PS, medium for Ai, but it will also be used for C4D and Blender!

1. The most important condition is absolutely smooth operation in AAE (composing a lot of layers from PS to 4K compositions, working with plugins - Trapcode, Stardust, 3D element)
2. Rendering ( I would like to improve it through rendergarden etc.)
3. Work with large formats in PS and Ai

I deal most with live preview in AAE, so I would like to find the most stable option for 128GB RAM.
Sometimes I have more of these programs open at the same time.
I want to build it by the end of this year and next year I would like to upgrade to Ryzen 5950x and RTX 3090.

I would like to keep the budget around 3000usd.

Can you please tell me your expert opinion and which option is the best choice?

Here is my current suggestion :

CPU: AMD RYZEN 9 3900X
MB: ASUS ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING or ASUS PRO WS X570-ACE
RAM: VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 128GB (4 x 32GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Memory Kit or G.Skill Ripjaws V Black 128GB(4x32GB) 3200MHz
GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER WINDFORCE OC 3X 8G
Cooler: NOCTUA NH-U12S
OC/APPS: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 500GB
Files/Caches: Samsung 980 PRO 1TB
Stoorage: WD Gold 8TB
source: Corsair TX850M
case: Fractal Design Define R6 Black Tempered Glass

Thank you so much and have a good day!

Looks like a good build to me. Do note that an Intel 10900k system would probably bring slightly smoother active work performance in AE and c4d as Intel still wins in single core performance. The difference is marginal, though, and the two extra cores will get you higher multi-core performance with the 3900X.

I've used that ASUS ThunderboltEX 3 add-in card and for me it worked like a charm, no issues there. Go for it!

Thanks a lot ! I note that, but i would like to build setup for ryzen 5950X and it should be comparable with intel 10900K right? :)

I wonder if you have experience what RAM works best at 128GB? What frequency and timing is best for Ryzen 3900X? And does the motherboard matter in this regard? I can't decide between these two.

I wish you well!

The 5950X will most likely be faster in single core speeds and a lot faster in multi-core performance than the 10900k - so that's a great choice.

3rd gen ryzen works best at 3600MHz RAM speeds, though the difference to 3200MHz is marginal. We don't yet know how that kind of RAM will fare with 4th gen Ryzen (5950X), but I am guessing 3600MHz is still a good bet.
