Hi,
I am trying to get my first PC built. My budget is $1500 and I got a generated part list from pc builder : https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=6LEl8 .
I am a software developer so I will mainly be using it with C/C++ compilers , IDEs and stuff. I also do a lot of video editing in Blender. I am slowly starting to do some illustration with Photoshop,Krita and have 3D modeling and occasional rendering and animation with blender in mind for the next year.

Would you please share your thoughts?
Thanks.

Hey Waya,
Your workloads are a perfect case for a high clocking cpu. Apart from rendering, compiling, coding, PS, Illustrator, and video editing makes great use of high clocking cpus and not necessarily of cpus with many cores. So the 10850K is right up your alley and the rest of the build looks good.

That said, keep in mind that AMD is releasing their next gen cpus nov. 5th, and those will pack even higher single core performance than intel's current offerings.

If you can wait, the 5600X or 5800X would fit your needs well.

Hope this helps, let me know of any other questions.
