First PC Build for Photo-editing, 3D modelling and Rendering

Hello,

Thank you for this amazing website. It helps me with planning my first PC Build. I have no experience so the articles are very useful.

Still I'm not totally sure which configuration I need, since I use my PC for both Photo Editing (Photoshop) and 3D modelling (Sketch Up) and Rendering (Artlantis, Blender). Also I use it for a little bit of video editing (After Effects, Premiere).

I work with large Photoshop files, with a lot of layers. My current computer cannot handle this very well.

Which configuration can you recommend me? My budget is 2500-3000 euro (2900 - 3500 dollar).
I do not have a preference for AMD or Intel, so both options are good?

That's a great budget to have and you'll be able to get a PC that performs really nicely. Here's a recommended build config as a suggestion:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor ($549.99)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ($89.90)
Motherboard: MSI X570 Tomahawk ATX AM4 ($284.00)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB - MSI Gaming X ($699.99)
Memory: 64GB (4 x 16GB) G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 C16 ($364.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 2TB M.2 Solid State Drive ($299.99)
Power Supply: EVGA 650 B5, 80 Plus Bronze 650W Power Supply ($88.63)
Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Black ATX Mid Tower Case ($123.99)
Total: $2495.48

The 5900X CPU will be released Nov. 5th, so keep an eye out for that one. The RTX 3080 is an excellent GPU, though you might have to wait a few days to get your hands on one as the stock situation is quite bad.
