Have you seen a pc motherboard that doesn't need CPU?

I've never seen something like that. It's a low-powered mobile CPU, so beware of that. I'd probably hesitate to buy this without knowing how it performs.

Hey guys, I found this seller posting a pc motherboard with CPU soldered on it.
Have you guys ever seen this?
If the quality is stable, it would be a very good way to build a pc when in tight budget.

Yep, I've seen them around in the Asian market.

From what I understand, they're harvested laptop CPUs that are soldered onto a modified desktop motherboard (to accommodate the BGA socket that laptops use and a mobile chipset, HM570 in this case).
As for the value they offer, well, I haven't used one myself but I'd reckon they'd stay extremely power limited and you'd have a hard time getting desktop-class performance.

It scores lower than the scores you can get with a $160~ Core i5-12400 :)

Also might have to deal with some software/driver issues. Not really worth the hassle, imo.
