Hi there,
I'm looking to buy a new PC. I'd say the current PC I'm using is roughly 7 years old now and it just isn't up to scratch for what I want to be using a Desktop PC for.
1. The budget is roughly £2500. Although if there is a perfect spec out there then it could potentially be bumped up to £3000.
2. My main workload is Motion Graphics, utilising 2d and 3d graphics, operating with After Effects, Photoshop, and Cinema 4d respectively. The secondary workload is video editing using software such as Premiere Pro or Avid.
3. I'm also a gamer and will be using the PC to play games in my spare time. (COD Warzone, Total War series etc)
4. I'd ideally want this PC to last a few years before I need to invest in an upgrade.
5. Shopping for parts in UK ideally but don't mind paying for international shipping (dependant on cost).
I put this into the custom pc builder on this website and this is what it spat out...
CGDirector.com Parts List: https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=Ol1FtdA0yrl
CPU: Intel i9 10900k 3.6GHz 10-Core Processor ($688.00)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black ($99.95)
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming ATX LGA1200 ($291.99)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB - MSI Gaming X Trio ($949.11)
Memory: 64GB (4 x 16GB) G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 C16 ($219.99)
Storage SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($129.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 2TB NVME M.2 Solid State Drive ($249.99)
Power Supply: Corsair RMx Series RM750x 750W Power Supply ($134.99)
Case: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 ($163.97)
Total: $2927.98
Is this good enough?
Some advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Tom
