Hi
Total noob hoping to benefit from the forums vast knowledge/experience.
I've been working on macs for the last 20 years but I'm now looking to switch and build my first PC.
I work mainly in the collectible industry sculpting in ZBrush and rendering in Maya Arnold and Keyshot for product stuff. I'm also interested in getting into unreal engine and would like to get a balance between CPU and GPU rendering

Budget = 3500-4000
No preference between AMD and intel

Custom PC_builder

CPU: Intel Core i9 13900K 3.0GHz 24-Core Processor ($559.99)
Is it worth upgrading to the KS?

CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ($89.90)

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690 Aero D ATX LGA1700 ($339.99)

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB - EVGA FTW3 ($569.99)
I can't find stock of the RTX 3080 could stretch to a 4080/90 would that work with the build?

Memory: 64GB (2x32GB) G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5-6000 CL30 ($299.99)
Can't find stock of the suggested memory, alternative?

Storage PCIe-SSD: WD Black SN850X 2TB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive ($194.51)
SSD - heatsink or standard version? Is it best to have a separate SSD just for the system install?

Power Supply: Corsair RMx Series Platinum RM850x 850W Power Supply ($197.00)

Case: be quiet! Dark Base PRO 900 Black Rev. 2 Full Tower Case ($326.77)
No stock of the Case, would prefer a white case if possible.

Total: $2578.14

Compatibility Note:
- CPU Cooler may require LGA1700 compatibility mounting-kit.
- CPU may require BIOS update on older stock 600-series motherboards.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!

Nope, for pro work.

Definitely. Those would be better purchases.

Can't find stock of the suggested memory, alternative?
DDR5 is pretty new so stock is a problem. Find kits with similar timings, and they should do fine. Another option is checking your motherboard's support page and finding the memory QVL. You can google those validated part numbers to hunt for kits that you want.

SSD - heatsink or standard version? Is it best to have a separate SSD just for the system install?
Usually doesn't matter. And yes, a separate SSD for the OS is recommended.

No stock of the Case, would prefer a white case if possible.
Case options vary wildly between regions, so you'll have to do some hunting unfortunately. Cases from beQuiet!, Fractal Design, Corsair, etc. should be good to use.

I'd recommend the AMD route if you're considering CPU rendering.
