Hello there friends,
I’m a video and projection designer for theatre and live events. I’m moving away from working with macs and am looking to build my very first PC.
I selected the motion design preset and have a budget of £1500/$2000, this is my recommended build:
CGDirector.com Parts List: https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=Nb1Bmdc0sph
CPU: Intel i7 10700k 3.7GHz 8-Core Processor ($409.95)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ($70.98)
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z490-A Gaming ATX LGA1200 ($215.59)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 8GB - MSI Gaming ($599.99)
Memory: 32GB (2 x 16GB) G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 C16 ($169.99)
Storage SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($139.99)
Storage PCIe-SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2 Solid State Drive ($151.75)
Power Supply: Seasonic Focus GM-650, 650W 80+ Gold Power Supply ($99.99)
Case: be quiet! Pure Base 600 Black ATX Mid Tower Case ($125.59)
Total: $1983.82
My main body of work resides in Ae and varies from working with footage to animation. I’ve been learning c4d and will hopefully be using this more at a professional standard, I haven't learned how to use any specific render engine just yet, so I’d like some degree of flexibility when it comes to deciding either a CPU or GPU rendering. Though I’m sure if I go with a GPU renderer, I can always add another GPU right?
I’d like Bluetooth, wifi and USB-C connectivity with my motherboard also.
Would this be a good build for my needs?
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mr Tsusan
