Hey guys!

This is my first time building my own PC. I used the PC builder tool on the website and have 2 options. I live in Germany so I had to switch some of the parts out.

My budget: 2.000- 2.800€
Country: Germany

What I'll use it for:
- Gaming
- Illustrations
- 2D and 3D modeling and animations (mainly ToonBoom and Blender)

CGDirector.com Parts List: https://www.cgdirector.com/pc-builder/?=6MCVd

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4GHz 16-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4
Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus
GPU: Power Color Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming Graphics Card with 12GB GDDR6 Memory or Asus Geforce TUF RTX 3070 ti o8g-gaming
Memory: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0171GQNH4?tag=cgdirector-21&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1
Storage: Corsair MP400 2TB https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-MP400-Sequential-Speeds-High-Density/dp/B094412RJX
Power Supply: Corsair CX Series CX550M 550W ATX 2.4 Power Supply

I would really appreciate feedback on whether the build would be compatible.
Thanks 🙏 😊

You should get a stronger PSU, as both of those GPUs are pushing the limit of power draw on a 550W PSU. Just to be on the safe side. 650 or better 750W to have some headroom for future upgrades as well.

The 3070Ti is the better choice for blender even though it has less vram, especially because CUDA rendering workloads in cycles run better than AMDs opencl counterpart.

The RAMs are quite tall but with a cpu fan upshift they should still fit. (not 100% sure). Can you find lower profile ram like Corsair Vengeance on the german amazon site?

Looks good to me otherwise. You have a case already?

Thank you for the fast replies 🙏

These are the switches I made based on your recommendations:

GPU: I was able to find a MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 8GB at a reasonable price im German. Would it be smarter to get that one instead of the Asus Geforce TUF RTX 3070ti?

PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 11 750W

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM 3200MHz CL16 (2x16GB)

Case: NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case

I am also thinking about switch ut the Corsair MP4 2TB for the Samsung 980 Pro 1TB M.2

The motherboard isn't a great option. I'd go with something from our list of recommendations here - https://www.cgdirector.com/best-b550-motherboards/#B550_Motherboard_Overview
I will get the MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk Wifi instead
