Hi,
I'm trying to create my first build of a desktop computer. Main use will be 3D modeling and rendering in Blender, and some video editing.

Budget: around 2500$ - 3300$
Main workloads: 3D modeling and rendering in Blender
Secondary workloads: Photoshop, After Effect, Da Vinci Resolve
Upgrade: I would like to upgrade my computer in about 5 years or sooner.
Country: Poland

What I'm planning to buy (prices PLN to USD):

CPU:
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 4.5GHz 16-Core Processor ($659.92)
CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 ($186.59)
Motherboard: Gigabyte X670 AORUS ELITE AX ($368.45)
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GAMING OC 12GB GDDR6X ($1046.06)
Memory: Corsair 64GB (2x32GB) 6600MHz CL32 Vengeance ($311.15)
Storage PCIe: Samsung 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe 990 PRO ($131.79)
2nd Storage: Samsung 1TB 2,5" SATA SSD 870 EVO ($76.98)
Power Supply: Corsair RMx Shift 1000W 80 Plus Gold ATX 3.0 ($248.87)
Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL ($286.24)
Total: $3316.05

My current Laptop is an Acer Aspire E1-570G (2014). It works well but I'm looking for something more speed and fluid.

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3217U
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M
RAM: 8GB

I will be very grateful for any suggestions

Looks great to me. A couple of considerations
  • The ASRock X670E Steel Legend is a better value than that Gigabyte board - https://www.cgdirector.com/best-am5...lue_Motherboard_Recommendation_for_Ryzen_7000
  • If you work with complex scenes and might need more VRAM than 12GB, the RTX 3090 at around that same price would be the better option.
  • Just a heads up, the Corsair "Shift" Power supplies have power connectors on the side (just in case the choice isn't intentional).
The build looks perfect otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing. It'll be a huge upgrade over your current setup either way.
