Before I post, a big thank you to extensive and real-time research being done on this site! It helped me a great deal to understand machines I've been using for modelling, rendering and amateurish gaming.

I'm now in the process of building a workstation for my growing business, and have received an offer for workstation.

I would appreciate a comment on the value and compatibility of the build, and any potential changes that could reduce price and/or enhance performance. Not sure, tho, if it would be wiser to wait for spring 2021, due to supply chains having a rough time right now and prices going up?

Offer 1, price (2150$, excluding VAT)
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT S.AM4
- Gainward NVIDIA GF RTX3070 Phantom 8G (I'm considering waiting for 3080 to become available again...)
- G.Skill Aegis 2x16GB 3000MHz F4-3000C16D-32GISB
- ADATA SX8200 PRO PCIe M.2 1TB
- Seagate Barracuda Guardian 2TB
- Asus PRIME X570-P
- Cryorig R1 Ultimate
- GIGABYTE P850GM 80+ GOLD
- LIAN LI Lancool 205

Prices are not from US, tho, as I'm from EU (Croatia), and believe they could be slightly larger here.

Tnx in advance!

Best wishes,
Dalibor

The only change I'd want to make is swapping out the 3900XT to a Ryzen 5000 part. Since it's a pre-built, this might pose an issue depending on the retailer. You can find our review and thoughts on these new processors from AMD here - AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Review for Content Creators - Goodbye Competition (cgdirector.com)
For rendering, I don't particularly like the motherboard included in the system either. You can find our recommendations here - Best B550 Motherboards for AMD Ryzen CPUs [2020 Guide] (cgdirector.com)

Could you try putting together the price of that exact build with the Ryzen 9 5900X as the CPU in your region just so I can know whether this pre-built is being sold at a considerable discount to you?

Tnx for your reply.

According to the retailer, 5900X is being sold at approx 610$ comparing to 500$ for 3900XT. This is exc. VAT.

What are your thoughts on general prices on the market at this moment, considering how slow the supply is?

The MSRP for the 3900XT is 499 so that seems to be as it should be. The MSRP for the 5900X is 549, but with the current stock situation we do see quite some price inflation here. 610$ isn't all that bad if you need it now, but you might find it closer to msrp if you wait a couple of weeks.
